Edward Morrison aged 22 from Farmington Fayette county suffered fatal injuries at a Kingwood area sawmill when his foot slipped and he fell into a circular saw. He died at Somerset Community hospital after being moved from the mill. His brothers operated the mill and will hold funeral services in Farmington next week.

Earl Bowser and Nevin E. Linde of Meyersdale were arrested Thursday by Somerset County detectives and motor police for larceny. They pled guilty to stealing four mining cars two sledge hammers and one car radio from Compton Mills owned by W. Compton in Elk Lick township. Bowser posted 500 dollar bond while Lindeman remained in jail. Both bound over for the next criminal court term.
