Four Children Die In Rochester Home Blaze
A fire in Guwih town Rochester killed four young children and seriously burned Caiestey Rambo, 24, the father and stepfather of the victims. Neighbors and firefighters found the victims scattered in the burning dwelling and tried to rescue the family. Fire officials believe coal stove heat sparked the blaze, as Beatrice Johnson, 10, Beatrice’s sister Georgine, 4, Robert Johnson, 6, and Chester Johnson Jr., 1, perished. Rambo, employed at St Joseph Lead in Monaca, was hospitalized in fair condition with severe burns and shock. Hall, 65, and Beatrice, 27, escaped with minor injuries.

Coudersport April 30 Three Harrison Valley Orphanage residents aged 11 13 and 15 are jailed on charges they started a March 18 fire that destroyed the home forcing 33 children ages 1 to 17 into the snow. Sheriff John W. Chamberlain says the trio admitted planning the blaze and cited dissatisfaction with staying at the facility.

Auto Injuries Fatal to Duncansville Man
