Two Sailors Hurt In Turnpike Crash Near Breezewood
Four sailors aged 19 to 21 were returning to their Maryland air base after weekend leave when their car struck a tractor trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Somerset and Breezewood. Joseph Sunseri 21 and Thomas McLaughlin 19 suffered serious injuries. Donald Bundy 20 and Howard Igerbert 20 were lightly hurt. All were admitted to Somerset Community Hospital.

In Sarasota Florida a five year old boy Edward Roger Schooley son of Professor Elmer Schooley of Highlands University Las Vegas N M was killed by an elephant at Ringling Bros Barnum Bailey winter quarters. The child and his brother were feeding elephants when an old female elephant named Dolly dragged him under a guard chain and crushed his skull.
