Two out of state pilots ran out of gasoline and made forced landings in plowed fields Sunday. Tadeusz Sendzimir of Middletown Ohio landed near the Somerset County Home and Hospital farm and escaped uninjured, though his plane suffered propeller and wing damage. Ray Neal of Texas landed near Shanksville with his wife, suffering landing gear damage. the couple found repair in Greensburg and planned to continue to Texas. The landings occurred within gliding distance of the Pennsylvania turnpike and were handled by state police and local authorities.

Argued Over $1 Ended Fatally in Pittsburgh Home
