Friedens Man 77 Dies From February Crash Injuries
Fred W. Ross of Friedens RD 2 died at Somerset Community Hospital from head and internal injuries suffered when his car collided with a garbage truck on a legislative route south of Brotherton on February 19. The Somerset County coroner announced his death, noting it was the fifth highway death in the county this year. Ross, 77, was a charter member of the Somerset County Dairy Herd Improvement Association and held multiple local and state farm and civic posts.
