Explosive Found On TWA Jet Threat Closes Flight
Police defused three pounds of plastic explosives aboard a TWA Boeing 707 after an anonymous caller warned of a $2 million ransom and a timed blast. The note directed officials to Locker 930 at Kennedy Airport and indicated ransom bags would be dropped at an undisclosed location. The threat promised further bombs on other flights if demands were not met.
