Good Samaritan Award For Pennsylvania Trooper Kuba
Trooper Richard D. Kuba of the Pennsylvania State Police received a Good Samaritan Award from the American Federation of Police at a ceremony at the Somerset Turnpike barracks. He saved a 2-year-old boy on September 11 near Everett by freeing the child's airway and summoning aid, later treated at Bedford County Memorial Hospital. The Gilpin family sent thanks on October 26, 1971.
