New York March 6 An appraisal of the estate of Mrs. Emma Eurana Schwab widow of C M Schwab calls the estate insolvent with a net value of 780 325. An affidavit by Willard A Mitchell cites two Schwab notes totaling 30000 with 6340 paid noted without further explanation. Mrs Schwab who died January 13 1939 named her husband and Minnie D Ward as residuary legatees and left 10009 to chauffeur Homer Schettig Ardmore Pa. Schwab died September 18 1939.

Stabs Father Of Athlete At Night Restaurant
Philadelphia report says Nicholas Pappas, 60, father of former Temple football star Chris Pappas, was fatally stabbed when a man asked to sleep at the all night restaurant and was refused. The assailant fled as police fired at him during a chase. Pappas identified the killer before dying from loss of blood at a hospital operating table. Three deep gashes required thirteen stitches to close. The proprietor collapsed behind the counter during the struggle.
