Two men robbed the payroll at Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh firing four shots and fleeing with more than $15,000. Paymaster Robert Chalmers and clerk Elizabeth Bruck reported the stickup in a basement room as the robbers drove off in a stolen blue 1940 sedan. An autopsy of details found about $1,800 in the car and insurance coverage noted, with about $14,000 still missing from the records.
