Living costs ease slightly in January on clothing and food
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the consumer price index fell 0.1 percent in January from 127.5 to 127.4, with prices for clothing food and used autos driving the dip. Despite the drop wages for about one million workers were unaffected though some wage tied to living costs rose for Caterpillar and truckers in Virginia and the Carolinas.

Easter Seal Campaign Opens Thursday March 2
Eighteen thousand letters mailed this week in Somerset County for the Easter Seal funds campaign starting March 2. Air Tanker Crashes Near Michigan City During Takeoff
A KC97 tanker attempting takeoff from Selfridge Air Base crashed near Mount Clemens Michigan in a billow of flames.
