He is a veteran teacher member and elder of St Pauls.

Boundary dispute ends in murder near Lower Turkeyfoot
Marshall Rugg, 40, of Lower Turkeyfoot township, was released on a $10,000 bond after being charged with the murder of Frank Basinger, 51, in a feud over a boundary. The pair, brothers in law, argued when Basinger slashed Rugg, then fired at him. Rugg returned fire, killing Basinger at Confluence hospital after transfusions. The shooting occurred between 8:15 and 8:45 p.m.

Three Jerome men pleaded guilty to larceny charges and were held in county jail on $1000 bail each. Earl Hutzel Theodore Hutzel and Joe Walls stole mining equipment worth 1000 and truck scale parts worth 700 from Shade township and Boswell before selling the loot for 108 at a Columbia scrap yard in Pittsburgh. All items were recovered.

In Atlantic City on June 25 judges favored rose crafted floats for the Lions International parade opening the 4th annual convention. A Kennet Square committee built the Lions float from 15 000 roses and a rose mushroom combination won the Lions class.
