John Watson 68 of Berlin was jailed for operating an automobile under the influence and released on bond. Alfred Manterio 22 of Newark was committed for breaking and entering a building near Hooversville and was not released.

Two Drivers Involved in Crash on Route 219
Two Somerset men were involved in a two car collision Tuesday morning at the Beulah road and Route 219 intersection four miles north of Somerset. Royal Rhoads of West Main Street and Paul Hoffman of Somerset R D 1 were the drivers. Hoff man’s vehicle side swiped Rhoads’ car while turning a curve. Neither driver was injured. Property damage estimated at $600.

Captain Baer Returns From Fifty Korea Missions
Captain Jacob Baer aged 24, back from six months with night bomber crews in Korea, visited his parents as he plans a home stay through July 10.
