Wagon Train Heads to Valley Forge National Bicentennial
The National Bicentennial Wagon Train crossed Somerset County over the weekend en route to Valley Forge. Eighteen state wagons and 25 from the Appalachian train led by Wagonmaster Rollie Hebel paraded through the borough with outriders and scouts. The train camped at the Somerset Historical Center Saturday night amid heavy rain. It plans daily travel toward a July 3 finish in Valley Forge and will display at the park for two and a half months with some privately owned wagons auctioned.
