Douglas Elliott Body Found at Summer Camp
Rep. Douglas H. Elliott 39 died by self inflicted carbon monoxide poisoning near his lakefront cabin in a nearby state park. Franklin County Coroner ruled the death a suicide after officers found a deer skin over his head and an exhaust pipe end nearby. Elliott had just been sworn in May and faced re election in November against Democrat Robert Meyers. Police found a razor blade and rifle bullets on the body. He leaves a wife and three children.
