Clyde O Long of Berlin R D was re elected worthy master of Pomona Grange at Wills Grange hall. The event included creating a Grange Family a memorial service a hobby show and a lawn picnic. New officers were named and a plan set for August degree work with Greensburg and Cleveland.

Plate Glass Workers End Wildcat Strike at PPG Plant
Tarentum June 19 Striking workers ended a week-long wildcat walkout and returned to work at the Creighton plant of Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. About 300 warehouse workers joined the walkout Monday over incentive pay. CIO United Glass and Ceramic Workers Union called it unauthorized and said grievances will go through normal channels. The dispute idled about 4000 company workers and briefly shut the paint shop at Springdale.
