The EDA earmarks 1,015,000 for four municipalities and two school districts plus 158,000 for county projects. Rockwood Senior Walks to Speak at Graduation Surprise

Dutch hijackers hold 55 hostages as dawn raid targets train
Dutch security forces stormed a hijacked four car train near Assen at dawn aiming to free 55 hostages held by South Moluccan extremists for 20 days. Officials say six killed at the train site and the Red Cross reports at least one passenger dead.

King assassin James Earl Ray leads Brushy Mountain escape
James Earl Ray and six fellow inmates escaped Brushy Mountain State Prison in a staged yard melee. They climbed a wall with a conduit ladder around 8 p.m. EDT and fled into East Tennessee hills, with lawmen including 125 guards and multiple agencies in pursuit. Ward was shot during the breakout. Fineman Is Sentenced To Two Years In Prison
