Gunderman Ordered Back to Jail After Hotel Stay
Pittsburgh June 10 Judge William H McNaugher ordered former State Policeman Stacy Gunderman returned to Somerset county jail after revealing he spent last night in a Pittsburgh hotel while in custody of Deputy Sheriffs Merle Glessner and Carl Hate who brought him from Somerset to testify at the murder trial of Fayette county District Attorney James A Reilly. Gunderman testified he talked with defense attorney Duggan and had not discussed the case with Reilly. More than a dozen character witnesses testified Reilly’s reputation as good or excellent.

All Night Lighting In Somerset To Be Upgraded
Somerset will install a new street lighting system within 10 days. Frank W. Womner of Pennsylvania Electric Company said work should finish in about a week and a half as most equipment has arrived. The plan replaces five fixtures per corner with a single 400 candle power column to be used all night, replacing nighttime only lighting after 10 p.m. The conversion requires removing old fixtures and fitting a larger single fixture with a special collar. Once done the business district will be fully and safely lit through the night.
