Seven year old’s bike mishap ends with tonsil removal

Refugees Hijack East Berlin Boat For Westward Escape
In Berlin a hijack crew led by the ship's cook knocked out the captain with liquor and a blow to the head and rammed an East Berlin excursion boat toward the West. Fourteen refugees including a 14 month old reached shore unhurt as bullets fired by East German guards shattered the boat. The group aimed to escape after a prior failed bid and included a 17 year old and the cook Joerg Lindner who cried out to be alive. 18 Year Old Texan Released On 2500 Bond
Isidro Salas an 18 year old carnival worker from Laredo Texas was released on 2500 bond two hours after being recommitted in default. He was arrested in connection with the death of Larry Bruce Smith a 12 year old Holsapple boy struck by a car about 2 30 p m Thursday.
