A full day pooling effort by the Somerset County Sheep and Wool Growers association sold 31 707 pounds of wool at the Somerset State Hospital beef barn. Jack J. Shober led the event with about 15 helpers and 214 poolers participating. Nichols and Company of Boston bought the lot and shipped it to Johnsonville North Carolina for processing. Prices ranged from 12 to 56 82 per hundredweight across several grades.
