Wiltrout Injured by Falling Tile at Local Construction Site

IUE and WEC Agree on One Year Contract Extension
Negotiators for Westinghouse Electric and the CIO International Union of Electrical Workers reached a one year contract extension granting a nine cent hourly raise retroactive to April 16 for 51 000 workers. The deal pauses a potential nationwide strike for six weeks and includes a modified union shop. OPS or wage stabilization board approval may be required before the raise takes effect. Production pay would rise to about 1.92 dollars per hour including incentives.
