Hunter Son Accidentally Shoots Father in Somerset
Charles Zimmerman Jr a 34 year old Somerset public assistance worker and father of seven was critically wounded by his 12 year old son during a groundhog hunt near Coxes Creek southwest of Somerset. The shot from a 12 gauge discharged while crossing a barbed wire fence left the father with a grave condition and possible kidney and abdominal injuries. Investigators say the discharge was accidental and no prosecution will be pursued.
