Mrs Helen Burkett 22 of Berlin R D 1 died at Community Hospital after a shotgun discharge at her home. Her husband Melvin Burkett 22 said the gun fired as they moved toward the door during an attempt to heat the house. He was jailed on a suspected charge pending a coroner led inquest. The couple had married three years earlier and left survivors include her parents Joseph and Rose Wirbrick Kantner and siblings. Funeral planned in Kantner with burial at Stoyestown IOOF cemetery.
