The U S Embassy confirmed on Friday the fifth American, Ronald B Mischalke of Mabel Minnesota, was kidnapped from Kagnew base near Asmara by five armed men. Others were seized in July and November by the Eritrean Liberation Front seeking independence from Ethiopia.
