Trailer Wheel Locks On Turnpike Tuesday
An accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike two miles west of the Allegheny Tunnel at 7:25 a.m. involved a car driven by 28 year old Robert H. Cook of Battle Creek Michigan towing a trailer. The right rear wheel locked causing the trailer to whip and break loose overturning on the roadway with no damage or casualties reported.

A two room tar paper and wood home in Hooversville burned Monday night at 10 40. Frank Lantz, owner, saw his heater oil run out and rushed to replenish as the fire broke out on South Water street. Firefighters from the Hooversville VFD responded with two trucks and 31 men aided by river water. Contents including Lantz’s clothing were lost. loss estimated at 600 dollars. Investigation by Howard Hahn and Fire Chief James A. Hahn to determine cause. no insurance carried.
