Johnstown Youth Struck By Car Near Ogtetown

Driver Byron Claycomb of Asterhury Bedford County said he struck the youth while passing a semi trailer. Police believe Thomas had been at a local Christmas party.

Two reservist pilots from the 445th fighter bomber wing at Niagara Falls were killed when their T 33 trainer crashed during a navigation training approach at Randolph Air Force Base Texas. Capt Clifford W Graves 37 of Batavia New York and 1st Lt James D Sonne 29 of Harbor Creek Pennsylvania were named. Grave’s and Sonne’s prior service included World War II and Korea respectively. An investigation into the crash was started.
