CAPE CANAVERAL Fla Dec 19 an air force Thor ballistic missile rose into the sky and flew hundreds of miles out over the Atlantic marking the third big weapon test this week at the center. Pentagon announced the flight as successful noting the missile followed its prescribed course and landed in its selected impact area. The Thor about 60 feet long and over 50 tons is designed to deliver a nuclear warhead up to 1500 miles away at roughly 7000 miles per hour.
