Aluminum Co. of America demonstrated a track drawn aluminum trailer in Pittsburgh. The 14 ton vehicle expands its inside area from 150 to 780 square feet at the push of a button. Ready Computation Centers For Baby Moon Satellites
Washington December 19 Special computation centers will be set up here and in Cambridge Massachusetts to track the Baby Moon satellite. Dr Joseph Kaplan says the naval research laboratory will run a computing center and the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory will likewise process data from optical observations. IBM has a contract to build computing equipment. The satellite is a 20 inch sphere weighing about 21 1/2 pounds and will orbit at about 18000 miles per hour.
