Wreckage Of Italian Plane Is Located
Navy divers located the main wreckage of an Italian air liner off Idlewild Jamaica bay. The crash near Idlewild yesterday left 17 presumed dead as the craft broke apart during a radar approach in rain and mist. Divers reported a victim’s hand protruding from the fuselage and bloodied clothes nearby in five feet of silt.

St Peter's Catholic Church Dedication Mass Held

Three Injured in Crash On Rt 219 Early Saturday
Three residents of R D 1 Freedens were slightly injured in a two car crash Saturday morning on Route 219 north of Somerset near the old Somerset airport. B F Zerfoss 40 received dispensary treatment at Somerset Community hospital. his nine year old son Bert Jr had a lacerated lip and Arlene Reiley 47 suffered a leg injury. Kenneth Spease 25 of R D 3 Hamburg drove north on Route 219 and while turning around to return to Somerset his car was hit by the Zerfoss vehicle. Total damage about 700 dollars.

Penn State Receives $11000 Grant for Oil Research

The Somerset Bus Company filed a $1,286 damage suit Saturday against Donald H. Musselman of Harrison Avenue Somerset. The complaint states a February 5 incident on West Union Street in Somerset where a company bus attempting to pass Musselman’s car was forced to swerve left and hit a telephone pole.
