In Missouri early today Carl Hall and his 41 year old alcoholic mistress died in the gas chamber after calmly talking to each other. Officials hoped Hall would reveal the fate of the missing $300,000 ransom from the Bobby Greenlease kidnapping and slaying but the pair did not offer any last words when asked by U S Marshal William Tatman.
Windber House Damaged by Fire In Two-Family Home
Five Thursday evening caused extensive damage to a two family home in Windber. An overheated furnace in the basement of a building owned by Steve Bukovich sparked the blaze. The other side housed Mr and Mrs Tony Bardo their 18 month old child and Mr Bardo's mother. Firemen fought the blaze for nearly two hours starting at 7 10 p m. Building damage was around 18000 with contents about 2000.
