Salt Lake City, Dec 17. Searchers failed to locate the Western Air Express airliner missing with seven aboard. About 25 planes and hundreds of men were to begin a widened hunt at dawn, after an unsuccessful day on ground and snow. The last radio from the ship came at 3:27 a.m. Tuesday. it was due in Salt Lake City at 4:10 a.m.

Marie Quest Dies After Long Illness in Somerset
Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Quest widow of Alvion J. Quest died at her West Union street home after weeks of illness. Born in Newry Pennsylvania, she lived in Atlantic City and Youngstown before settling in Somerset in 1932. A devout Catholic, she belonged to St. Peter's Altar Society and was traveled, artistic, and sociable. Interment will be in Pleasantville New Jersey after a high mass at St. Peter's Church. Her sister Weidman survives. siblings Katheryn McCoy Gulick and John McCoy preceded her.

A morning fire at 8 30 in a large double house on Fuller Avenue damaged the Labrelle home owned by Mrs Dice Way of Johnstown and housing the families of Howard Pugh and Nettie Labrelle. Firefighters faced flames from a cupboard spreading to the second floor with water damage to much furniture. The Somerset volunteers were called out for a second time this week after a Bank/Main Street blaze earlier Monday caused extensive losses.
