After an all day session Judge Norman T. Boose retired to seal a verdict in the larceny case against Johnstown youths Stephen Sicilliano and James Matthews. The pair are accused of breaking and entering at night with intent to commit a felony and larceny for goods stolen from Morris Thaler store on Sept 1. Police testified two cars fled the rear of the Solomon building at 2:50 am, with officers tracing license numbers to the defendants.

Coy Russell and David I Cross, both 29, were sentenced to five to 30 years on kidnapping and 10 to 25 years on armed robbery after pleading guilty in Common Pleas Court. They were captured following a major manhunt after abducting State Trooper Powell and robbing motorists from Nebraska to Pennsylvania.
