The Supreme Court unanimously said the Memphis three judge district court erred in dismissing O Z Evers suit challenging Tennessee streetcar and bus segregation. Evers, a Memphis resident, boarded a bus to sue and faced orders to move to the rear.

Trains Hits Bus Carrying 48 Children in Saginaw County

Hunter Wounded as Doe Season Opens in Jenner Township
Willis E. Adams, 19, of Jennerstown, was wounded in the opening hour of doe season while hunting with R. J. Pritts and a 15 year old youth in Jenner township. A stray slug from the youth's Springfield rifle struck Adams in the left arm as they walked a log road, the bullet also tearing through the youth's hip. Adams was taken to Somerset Community Hospital with injuries described as non fatal.
