37 Die In Western Airlines Crash Near Fairfield Utah
A Western Airlines transport crashed in central Utah killing 37 of 49 aboard. Two survivors, A. J. Mallett and Lieut. A F Gardner, were found near the wreck four miles south of Fairfield. British Sub Truant Returns After Sinking 20 Ships
The British submarine Truant returns home after two and a half years of operations in which she sank or damaged more than 20 Axis ships and logged over 80 000 miles across the Mediterranean Indian Ocean and Java Sea.
