Snow weather leads to crash landing on tennis courts
A civilian pilot Paul Gallagher and passenger Edward Lynch from Ardmore escaped with minor injuries after their twin engine Cessna skidded several hundred yards and somersaulted on the Somerset Country Club tennis courts at 2 40 PM Thursday amid five mile visibility. Gallagher said he tried to land on the turnpike but icy conditions and poor visibility forced a Somerset landing. The crew emerged and received first aid as spectators helped carry items from the wreck. both props were damaged and the tail splintered while the body and wings remained intact.
