FBI Agent Testifies on Oswald Note Destruction in Dallas
FBI agent James P. Hosty Jr testified before a House subcommittee that he flushed down a note from Lee Harvey Oswald delivered to the Dallas FBI office. He said he was ordered to destroy it by J. Gordon Shanklin and placed the anonymous message in his workbox. He dated the note to early November 1963 after speaking with Marina Oswald and a friend. Pennsylvania Electric Company says the cost to comply with the Public Utility Commission order after the December snow storm would run about 93 million dollars.
