Two transients were sentenced to five to 10 years in Eastern Penitentiary for robbing a fellow traveler at the Adams County Home last Thursday night. John J. Man crawled 150 feet to aid companion after wreck
In Pittsburgh on Der 12 Alf red Graffus 25 crawled 150 feet with a fractured leg to reach a motorist and summon help for Lois Gardner 22 of Grove City who suffered suspected skull and pelvis fractures and multiple broken ribs after their car plunged down a steep embankment on Frankstown road. Chief Samuel Bickerstaff said Graffus lost control, overturned, then crawled to the highway to aid Gardner.

Flue Fire at Davis Home Prompted Somerset Firemen
A flue fire at Mrs. Julia Davis’s home adjoining the east of the West Main street liquor store brought Somerset volunteer firemen to the scene about 8:30 Monday evening. The blaze was quickly extinguished with no damage reported. Mrs. Davis is the widow of Ross Davis, a former Somerset borough policeman.
