In Conemaugh Township a 64 year old man Bartosky friend and housemate Andy Racosky shot 55 year old Justice Bartosky at their home after a Saturday quarrel leaving Bartosky critically wounded. Racosky is jailed in Somerset County awaiting possible homicide charges as investigators probe the early Sunday incident.

Abortionists Sentenced to Penitentiary
Two Meyersdale men convicted in September for complicity in an abortion were sentenced by Judge Norman T. Boose to long terms in the Western Penitentiary. William Porter received three and one half to seven years while Earl Long, an accessory and co defendant on a rape count, was ordered to serve 18 months to three years on the accessory charge and two and one half to five years on the rape conviction, with Long’s sentences to run concurrently.
