The Central City volunteer fire company Tuesday night elected officers for the coming year with a Dec. 20 meeting election, and Jan. 1 as the start of offices. Five alarms since the last meeting included two flue fires two grass fires and a lost hunter rescue. Santa visited by fire truck at the Christmas program where over 800 treats were given to Central City Shade area children.
