Warren E Menser of Menser's Plumbing Company at 456 West Main Street was named Area Personality of the Week by the Somerset Daily American. Born March 11 1885 in Brothersvalley Township he began work early aiding his grandfather a road supervisor and later worked in a stone quarry. He moved to Somerset in 1904 joining local plumbing and heating ventures and eventually formed Somerset Heating Company in 1905. He has been self employed since 1918 at his West Main Street headquarters and is married to Daryle Brant with four children Leroy W Ken See MENSER on Page 2

Nation avoids rail strike after wage deal for shopcraft workers
