Somerset State Police reported two weekend accidents. The first occurred Saturday night on Route 219 three miles north of Meyersdale when Gary D. Christner 27 of Garrett lost control drove over guard rails and down a 200 foot embankment. his car was totaled and he was slightly injured. The second incident on Legislative Route 55172 three miles west of Trent involved Sandra Lee Royston 24 of Falls Church VA and Marie Louise Mitchell 23 of Irwin, their cars fendered on an icy curve with Royston northbound and Mitchell southbound.
