Oil Tank Blast Sparks Friendship Rescue
In Morris township Washington county two workers salvaging equipment from an abandoned oil well were scorched when a storage tank exploded. Herman Hill and Fred Stover both of New Matamoras Ohio raced to aid, with Stover tearing off burning clothing and beating out flames. Hill was listed in serious condition at a local hospital. Bodnak was walking on Route 53 near Hooversville Tuesday at about 6 AM when Urban, in a light sedan, hit him and the pushcart. Police say Urban reported no light on Bodnak’s cart. investigation continues.
