County finishes paying courthouse loan early
The Somerset County Commission announced that a 75,000 loan from Somerset Trust Co. for Courthouse Project 4046 to repair the courthouse dome was fully paid as of December 1. The final installment of 61,250 plus interest settled after three years, saving about 3600 in interest. the federal government contributes 62,800 toward the project and has paid 75 percent of that amount.
