M/Sgt. Dexter Sheraw of Yucan Pennsylvania was admitted to Somerset Community Hospital at 1 p.m. Sunday with head injuries and remained unconscious at a late hour. The accident involved only the driver’s car near Stoystown. Sheraw has 18 years in the U S Army and recently reenlisted to report to Walla Walla Washington in January. Mrs Treatise Williman of the Somerset Red Cross tried to contact his family Sunday night but could not reach his wife or relatives.

Force Miners to Answer Thursday in Pittsburg
Pittsburgh December 2 Robert G Sproul Jr co receiver for Shawmut Mining Co says he and other officials will receive their answer Thursday to a back to work proposal for 350 Force miners on strike since July. Three Vehicle Crash In Allegheny Tunnel Injures Woman
Miss Eileen Brisco of Pittsburgh was concussed and taken by ambulance to Somerset Community Hospital after a three vehicle crash in Allegheny tunnel on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Police say Brisco’s eastbound sedan sideswiped a westbound car. a truck from Brady Transfer and Storage entered the tunnel and struck Brisco’s car. Girl Shot Dead at Hackettstown Home. Cousin Sought
A seven year old girl, Joan Lacey, was shot to death in a Hackettstown residence of her uncle George Lacey. Prosecutor Saul Schechter said a thirteen year old cousin fled the scene and police sought the youth. The shooting occurred in a second floor bedroom as the girl visited the home.

First German Officer Shot in Western Europe War Crimes Trial
