Pilot rides blazing jet to last possible safe area

Turnpike Crash Fatal to Erie Woman
An 82 year old Erie woman, Mrs. Pelageja Nigitins, was killed when a pickup truck went through a guard rail on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Donegal Interchange. The driver Logia Matronovas, 50, and another passenger Maria Kovalenko, 49, were Russian travelers. Matronovas and Nigitins’s daughter were injured. Matronovas treated for facial and scalp injuries and possible leg fractures. Police cited language barriers as hampering the investigation.
