Buck Heralds Opening Deer Season Across Counties
Chnstown, Dec 1. M Steel of Indiana shot an eight point buck at 7:15 this morning, an hour after the season opened near Shelocta. Fourteen year old Cloyd Wallace of Telford, Westmoreland county, took a three point buck near Ligonier. Estimates place deer numbers at 80 in Indiana county and about 60 in Cambria county. No other incidents reported as several offenders were arrested for carrying loaded suns in cars.
