Salisbury's last Civil War veteran Peter J. Livengood, 90, died of a heart attack found in his bed around 9 Tuesday morning after several days of injuries from a fall down stairs. Coroner W. J. Logue confirmed the cause. He was born March 16, 1846, lived all his life in Salisbury, and his wife had died long ago. The body was moved to Stanley Thomas mortuary.
