Grantsville Man Admits Manslaughter
Harrison Beachy 50, of Grantsville pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter after admitting he drove a light truck that fatally struck 80 year old W. D. Collier in Somerfield. Beachy was held without bond on the manslaughter charge and on a separate failure to stop charge. Collier died after more than 36 hours unconscious from a brain injury. Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Collier home with burial in Addison cemetery.

Clearfield November 30. James A. Garfield Johnson 57 of Mahaffey was slain while hunting less than a day after being subpoenaed to testify about the knife slaying of Harold Hutton of Mahaffey.
