Death by own action ends life of local man
Thomas R. Williamson, 57, of Paintbor ough, was found dead in his garage from carbon monoxide poisoning suspected to be self-inflicted. Bedford August 30 Paul Showalter a 31 year old dairy farmer from Morrisons Cove won first place in the state contour plowing contest at New Enterprise with Jacob Snider placing second from near New Enterprise. Showalter earns eligibility for the national contest at Wabash Indiana September 18 17 along with the state level land plowing winner to be announced tomorrow. About 30 farmers competed the event sponsored by the state vocational agricultural service.

Three juveniles aged nine to ten vandalized the Courtney cabin in Middle Creek Township last Friday. Furniture and fixtures were damaged, with flour and paint smeared on walls, owner attorney James O Courtney of Somerset noted about 500 dollars in damage. The youths were placed in parental custody.
