Pastor to be Installed at Somerset Brethren Church
George L Detweiler D D of Indianapolis Indiana will be installed Sunday as pastor of the Somerset Church of the Brethren. The installation will be performed by an official of the Church of the Brethren conference at the morning service. He succeeds Rev James Boitnott who left for Rockford Illinois to assume a pastorate. Detweiler is a Johnstown native with degrees from Juniata College Western Theological Seminary Auburn Theological Seminary and the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his Doctor of Divinity at Elizabethtown College in 1949. He married Miss Zola Meyers in 1930 and has served as pastor at Northview Church of the Brethren Indianapolis Waynesboro Juniata College Stone Church on Campus Meyersdale and Salisbury Beachdale Garrett churches.
