Warrant Officer Terry A. Custer of Water Street Stoys town received the Air Medal for heroism in aerial operations over Vietnam. He flew a helicopter gun ship with the 192nd Assault Helicopter Co. at Plan Thiet Airstrip and braved mortar and small arms fire to illuminate the battle area guiding fire.
